Dal\u0161\u00ed n\u00e1lezy, v\u010detn\u011b obratl\u016f a dal\u0161\u00ed doln\u00ed \u010delisti, n\u00e1sledovaly v letech 2008 a 2009. Kombinuj\u00ed rysy p\u0159ipom\u00ednaj\u00edc\u00ed star\u0161\u00ed africk\u00e9 hominidy, jako je <em>Homo erectus<\/em>, s vlastnostmi, kter\u00e9 lze vid\u011bt u nov\u011bj\u0161\u00edch africk\u00fdch a euroasijsk\u00fdch exempl\u00e1\u0159\u016f. Tato \u201est\u0159edn\u00ed\u201c morfologie nazna\u010duje p\u0159echodn\u00fd druh, kter\u00fd potenci\u00e1ln\u011b p\u0159edstavuje rozhoduj\u00edc\u00ed krok v divergenci lidsk\u00e9ho rodokmenu. Zd\u016fraz\u0148uje, \u017ee je d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9 pokra\u010dovat v hled\u00e1n\u00ed fosili\u00ed v Africe, kter\u00e9 mohou obsahovat dal\u0161\u00ed vod\u00edtka k p\u016fvodu na\u0161eho druhu.
