K tomu doch\u00e1z\u00ed <em>navzdory<\/em> \u0161irok\u00e9mu p\u0159ijet\u00ed reforem \u201ev\u011bdy o \u010dten\u00ed\u201c, kter\u00e9 se zam\u011b\u0159uj\u00ed na dek\u00f3dov\u00e1n\u00ed. Paradox je z\u0159ejm\u00fd: studenti um\u00ed slova vyslovit, ale nemus\u00ed jim nutn\u011b rozum\u011bt. \u010c\u00e1ste\u010dn\u011b je to proto, \u017ee \u010dten\u00ed s porozum\u011bn\u00edm vy\u017eaduje jak dek\u00f3dov\u00e1n\u00ed, tak <em>a<\/em> porozum\u011bn\u00ed jazyku. Bilingvn\u00ed studenti \u010del\u00ed dal\u0161\u00ed p\u0159ek\u00e1\u017ece, proto\u017ee sou\u010dasn\u011b rozv\u00edjej\u00ed jazykov\u00e9 dovednosti a pokou\u0161ej\u00ed se porozum\u011bt slo\u017eit\u00fdm text\u016fm. <\/p>\n<h3>Pro\u010d jsou st\u00e1vaj\u00edc\u00ed metody nedostate\u010dn\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p>Hlavn\u00edm probl\u00e9mem je, \u017ee mnoho u\u010debn\u00edch osnov zalo\u017een\u00fdch na \u201ev\u011bd\u011b o \u010dten\u00ed\u201c <strong>je navr\u017eeno pro jednojazy\u010dn\u00e9, kulturn\u011b homogenn\u00ed t\u0159\u00eddy.<\/strong> P\u0159edpokl\u00e1daj\u00ed, \u017ee studenti poch\u00e1zej\u00ed ze st\u0159edn\u00ed t\u0159\u00eddy anglicky mluv\u00edc\u00edch rodin, ignoruj\u00edc realitu modern\u00edch \u0161kol, kde je v\u00edce ne\u017e 5 milion\u016f student\u016f bilingvn\u00edch. Tyto programy \u010dasto postr\u00e1daj\u00ed kulturn\u00ed v\u00fdznam a neberou v \u00favahu individualitu a zku\u0161enosti student\u016f. <strong>V\u00fdzkum ukazuje, \u017ee studenti \u010dtou l\u00e9pe, kdy\u017e jsou texty relevantn\u00ed k jejich pozad\u00ed<\/strong>, proto\u017ee kultura utv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed \u00fastn\u00ed \u0159e\u010d pot\u0159ebnou pro porozum\u011bn\u00ed. <\/p>\n<p>Zvukov\u00e9 texty, i kdy\u017e jsou u\u017eite\u010dn\u00e9 pro procvi\u010dov\u00e1n\u00ed dek\u00f3dovac\u00edch dovednost\u00ed, \u010dasto <strong>postr\u00e1daj\u00ed bohatou slovn\u00ed z\u00e1sobu a slo\u017eitou jazykovou strukturu<\/strong> pot\u0159ebnou pro skute\u010dn\u00e9 porozum\u011bn\u00ed. Studenti mohou dosahovat dobr\u00fdch v\u00fdsledk\u016f v testech dek\u00f3dov\u00e1n\u00ed, ale zaost\u00e1vaj\u00ed ve \u010dten\u00ed s porozum\u011bn\u00edm, co\u017e potvrzuje rostouc\u00ed mezeru, kterou zaznamenal NAEP. <\/p>\n<h3>Praktick\u00e1 \u0159e\u0161en\u00ed pro u\u010ditele<\/h3>\n<p>U\u010ditel\u00e9 mohou zlep\u0161it porozum\u011bn\u00ed \u010dten\u00e9mu textu roz\u0161\u00ed\u0159en\u00edm definice gramotnosti nad r\u00e1mec dek\u00f3dov\u00e1n\u00ed.
